±200 MVar STATCOM是迄今世界上最大容量的动态无功补偿设备,因其对电网电压支撑作用和较高的设备造价,需要深入探讨对换流器件和辅助设备保护策略,以确保设备安全可靠运行。文中在简要分析多级联H桥STATCOM主电路、H桥结构和元件特性的基础上,从装置级保护策略、功率单元保护策略和失灵保护策略3个方面,分析STATCOM在工程应用中的保护配置策略,并提出优化措施。保护配置策略的明晰和优化,对多H桥级联STATCOM工程应用有较大的指导意义。
± 200 MVar STATCOM is by far the world’s largest capacity of dynamic reactive power compensation equipment, because of its role in grid voltage support and higher equipment costs, the need for in-depth discussion of converter devices and auxiliary equipment protection strategy to ensure safe and reliable operation of equipment . Based on the brief analysis of STATCOM main circuit and H bridge structure and components characteristics of multi-cascaded H-bridge, the protection configuration of STATCOM in engineering application is analyzed from three aspects: device level protection strategy, power unit protection strategy and failure protection strategy Strategy, and put forward optimization measures. The clear and optimized protection configuration strategy has great guiding significance for the application of multi-H bridge cascaded STATCOM.
