Objective: To explore the value of atomic absorption spectrometry in monitoring cadmium in tap water. Methods: The district-level centralized water supply factory in Hebi City was stratified sampling from January to February in 2013. Three centralized water supply plants were selected as monitoring points and monitored every 10 days. Water and cadmium were monitored by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The limit of cadmium was 0.005mg / L. The change of cadmium content in tap water was observed. Results: During the monitoring period, the water content of cadmium in the waterworks did not exceed the national standard, and the trend of the trend was first and then decreased. At the level of 7:00 on January 8, the highest level was 0.0004 mg / L, at 9:00 on January 18, 00 minimum monitoring concentration of 0.0002mg / L, indicating that drinking water in our city is not subject to cadmium pollution. Conclusion: The cadmium content of tap water in Hebi city from January to February 2013 did not exceed the national standard, which will not cause health hazard to the population.
