Stephenson George 1781-1848, an inventor who came out of the bottom of the poor miners, is recognized as the “father of steam locomotives.” Many countries, such as Germany, Belgium, Poland, San Marino, the Congo, all released the picture of him and his locomotive as a commemorative stamp.
