This article reports the determination of pantothenic acid or calcium pantothenate in multiple vitamin preparations by reverse phase HPLC. This method is faster, more precise and easier to automate than chemical or microbiological methods and is suitable for quality control. The HPLC system is equipped with two pumps, autosampler, integrating logger and UV detector. The phase was bonded with an aminopropyl group (10 μm particles, 250 mm × 4.6 mm) and measured at 210 nm. The mobile phase consisted of 0.005M potassium phosphate (pH 4.5) -acetonitrile (13:87 v / v) with a flow rate of 2 ml / min.
