It is of great importance to forecast the wind gust in the coastal area accurately and timely in disaster prevention and mitigation. At present, the forecast methods of offshore wind farms include experience forecast, statistical forecast, numerical model forecast and forecast of statistical motivation (release of numerical products). This article mainly summarizes and analyzes these forecasting methods and provides a reliable basis for forecasters.
