In the course of reform and opening up, there was something new out in the rural areas of Shanghai’s suburbs: a group of foreign students were admitted to the farmer’s home in the tree grave production team at Jiangwan Township, Baoshan County. From October 24, 11-year-old male and female college students from the West World College of the United States started a two-month survey of the status quo of rural China and learned about China’s policy and accepted the Chinese class teaching for them by the Shanghai University School of Liberal Arts. This kind of teaching method that allows foreign students to combine with the reality of rural life in China is still the first in China.
