One of the authors has pointed out that one of the development directions of trace organic qualitative analysis is the establishment of trace system identification method. One of the most intriguing issues in this area in recent years has been the method by which W. (?) Oxygen cylinders burn and decompose organic compound samples for organic microanalysis. However, almost all the research work has been done on quantitative analysis. The experimental report on the use of this method in qualitative analysis has not yet been seen. This method is simple and easy to operate. The sample is burned in pure oxygen with platinum as a catalyst and can be quantitatively decomposed. Moreover, elemental identification can be performed directly without the filtration and separation treatment of the decomposed absorption liquid.
