This experiment measured and compared the concentrations of Taurine (Tau) in full-term and pre-term colostrum and fetal umbilical cord blood. The results showed that the Tau content of umbilical blood in term infants was (144.6 ± 29.3) μmol / L, which was significantly higher than that in preterm infants (941 ± 166) μmol / L (P0.01) , And the Tau content in full-term pregnant women was also significantly higher than that of premature children (391 ± 341 μmol / L and (277 ± 5 ± 23.3) μmol / L, P <0.01). It is speculated that the decline of pregnant women in vivo Tau is likely to cause fetal dysplasia and one of the important factors of premature birth.
