水稻研究室于1985年成立,包含水稻育种和水稻栽培2个研究方向。现有在编兼职研究人员6人,其中教授2人,副教授2人,讲师2人,另有技术工1人,由任昌福教授任研究室主任。研究室成立以来,本着教学、科研、生产三结合的方针开展工作,先后完成部、省、市级重点攻关科研项目10项,多次获得国家、部、省、市级奖励。目前正在进行的有6项;承担研究生课程3门、本专科课程7门,培养硕士研究生14名(含在积),已毕业获硕士学位8名。1988年水稻研究室被评为重庆市先进集体。育种方向:近年承担有四川省水稻育种攻关《水稻高产优质新品种(组合)选育—— The Rice Research Laboratory was established in 1985 and includes two research directions: rice breeding and rice cultivation.
