距今正好一百年的1886年9月,比利时、法国、德国、英国、瑞士、西班牙、意大利、利比里亚、海地、突尼斯等10国,在瑞士首都伯尔尼缔结了《保护文学艺术作品伯尔尼公约》(简称伯尔尼公约),并于次年12月正式生效。这个国际性的版权保护公约曾经过两次增补和五次修订。它对简化许多国家之间相互提供版权保护的程序,促进国际文化交往及科学、文化、艺术的创作活动发挥了重要的作用。
The Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works (Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works) was concluded in September 1886 in Belgium, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Liberia, Haiti and Tunisia Referred to as the Berne Convention), and came into force in December the following year. This international copyright convention has been amended twice and five times. It plays an important role in simplifying the process of providing mutual copyright protection among many countries, promoting international cultural exchanges and creating science, culture and art.
