美国的对外贸易统计在经济和社会生活中具有重要影响。在宏观层面上1960年美国的出口总值仅占GDP的4％,目前已超过11％,贸易统计结果不仅影响到证券市场的投资决策,也影响到联邦储备委员会的利率政策。在微观层面上,影响到企业的市场份额、竞争力评估和贸易谈判。如此重要的工作,是由美国商务部普查局对外贸易统计司负责完成。
U.S. foreign trade statistics have a significant impact in economic and social life. At the macro level, the U.S. exports accounted for only 4% of GDP in 1960 and now exceeds 11%. Trade statistics not only affect the investment decisions of the securities market, but also affect the interest rate policy of the Federal Reserve. At the micro level, it affects the firm’s market share, competitiveness assessment and trade negotiations. Such important work is done by the Foreign Trade Statistics Division of the U.S. Bureau of Commerce Census Bureau.
