The word sea, people are no stranger to the sea, have seen the sea or have not seen the sea, all know the sea is big, but immense boundless. So how big is it? Let us take a look at the following set of figures: The Earth’s surface area of about 510 million square kilometers, the ocean accounted for 71% of them. The volume of the ocean is about 1.37 billion cubic kilometers, the average depth of the oceans is 3800 meters, and the deepest Mariana Trench is 11,034 meters. Of course, these numbers are boring. Take a globe and look at it. The blue sea above is far greater than the yellow-green land. Earth can be called a water planet and a sea planet.
