The growth of perylene and tetracene on silver (110) surface was investigated by UV-Vis and low energy electron diffraction (LEED). The results of LEED showed that perylene on a silver (110) The ordered structure of C (6 × 2) was formed. One monolayer of tetracene was observed to have a C (4 × 2) ordered structure. According to UPS measurements, four characteristic peaks related to perylene molecular orbital Respectively located at 35, 48, 64 and 85 eV below the Frimi level, the binding energies of the four characteristic peaks associated with the tetracene molecular orbital are 3.4, 49.5, 9 and 94 eV, respectively.
