Beets are biennial crops. Reproductive processes (flowering, fruiting) completed during the second year of reproduction under natural conditions are a major obstacle limiting their speedy improvement through the breeding process. However, under artificial conditions, induction of early maturity and seed maturation may accelerate the breeding process and promote the improvement of beet. The authors conducted early flower induction of different varieties of sugar beet in a special growth chamber by controlling the seedling number of plants (after thirty days of seedling application) or without control using a light-dark-temperature system of 14/10 hours at 22/24 ° C .
