一国的外交战略与其文化传统密不可分,对中国来说,儒家文化不仅塑造其内在气质,也影响其外在行为。“贵和”思想是儒家文化的内核之一,在规范中国传统社会秩序与对外交往方面是为“礼”之所用的重要原则和工具。“贵和”具有“和谐”的境界追求与“恰到好处”行为准则下的复合内涵,是一种中国式的“审慎”。理解此含义的重要性在于,较之一般意义上将“贵和”思想与中国的和平倾向相联系,它具有更深刻的外交战略指导价值和借鉴意义。这种价值和意义在西汉与匈奴的百年和战中已有体现,而在当前时代,我国“和谐世界”理念的提出和具体实践也与其直接相通,“贵和”思想的价值和意义同样彰显。
The diplomatic strategy of a country is inseparable from its cultural tradition.
