将袋礁膜、缘管浒苔和孔石莼等分别放入含有Cd~(2+)的人工海水进行诱导后,匀浆并分离出其可溶性蛋白质,通过葡聚糖凝胶G—75凝胶过滤,将分布收集液中含Cd~(2+)的部分集中,再过DEAE纤维素离子交换柱,进行分布收集,并测定其蛋白质及SH基的含量、250mμ和280mμ的消光值及镉的浓度。证实这三种藻均因Cd~(2+)诱导而合成一种小分子的蛋白质(通过凝胶过滤法测定分子量约一万)具右高SH基含量、耐热性和同重金属结合的高亲合力,250mμ的消光值也大于280mμ的消光值。由此证明真核藻类中的绿藻也有合成金属硫蛋白的特性。

Affinity, 250mμ extinction value is also greater than 280mμ extinction. This shows that the green algae in eukaryotic algae also have the characteristics of synthetic metallothionein.
