In the 1980s, many major economic reforms in the country put Sheffield under intense concussion, during which 80,000 people were unemployed in Sheffield - about a quarter of total employment. The disjunction between Sheffield and the entire community has led to a gradual loss of employment opportunities for the city’s citizens. Today, despite the significant turnaround in Sheffield’s economy, its GDP is only 87% of the average GDP of the EU, our vicinity is similar to ours and most areas are extremely poor.
