宁夏吴忠市是个回族比较集中的地区,回族人口占全市人口的55.9％。解放三十五年来,特别是党的十一届三中全会以后,在市委、市政府的正确领导和关怀下,民族教育事业得到蓬勃发展。到1984年全市有中小学生46,285人,其中回族学生有23,522人,占在校学生数的50.8％。回族适龄儿童17,039人,已入学的16,161人,入学率达94.8％。从1977年以来,回族学生被录取上大专的有267人,占录取学生的23.2％。上中专(技工)
Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is a relatively concentrated area, the Hui population accounts for 55.9% of the city’s population. In the 35 years since the liberation, especially after the Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee, under the correct leadership and care of the municipal party committee and government, ethnic education has flourished. By 1984 there were 46,285 primary and secondary students in the city, of which 23,522 were Hui students, accounting for 50.8% of the total number of students in the school. 17,039 children of the Hui nationality, 16,161 have enrolled, enrollment rate of 94.8%.
