河北省农林科学院谷子研究所,针对目前农业生产商品化、多样化和谷子本身的特点,推出谷子供种采用“小包装”方法,使良种良法溶为一体。几年来的试验示范结果表明,用小包装供种,定期进行种子更新,能彻底防止品种混杂退化,具有防病、增产的作用,而且还可延长良种的使用寿命,既有直接的经济效益,又有很大的社会效益,深受广大群众的欢迎。农民在长期生产实践中,积累了一条用异地换种办法解决谷子品种混杂退化的经验。研究表明,异地更换同一品种的种子,改变栽培条件,能增强种子的酶活性,提高抗病力。本项技术就是根据上述群众经验与研究结果提出的。通过跨大纬度的异地培育原原种,提高它的生活力,再以药剂或变温处理种子,配以所需的多元复合肥,用小包装供种。
