At the invitation of the United States Asian Studies Association, the author went to the United States to attend the annual meeting of the Asian American Society from March 20 to April 5, 1994. During the visit to the United States, in addition to taking part in the annual meeting, he also made use of various opportunities to engage with sinologists in the United States to visit the United States, the Rutgers Foundation, the East Asian Institute of Columbia University, the Chinese Institute of Harvard University and the Sino-American Academic Exchange Committee, Bank, the United States National Science Foundation and other units. According to the introduction of relevant parties in the United States, due to the tremendous achievements made by China in its reform and opening up, and especially the sustained and rapid economic growth in China in recent years (some scholars call it “the Chinese phenomenon”), the current social science community in the United States has caused “ China fever ”, especially in economics discussion and even argued the most enthusiastic. The annual meeting of the World Bank convened in April this year focused on the reform of the economic structure of the socialist countries. In fact, the discussions are still focused on the so-called “China phenomenon.”
