对学龄前儿童来说,由成年人为他们讲读,是图画故事的基本阅读方式。讲读,不是简单的朗读,而是针对不同对象、不同场景、不同目的等因素的个性化的讲解,即“创编式”的讲读。这个讲读的过程,是把图画故事的“图文”故事转化成为“视听”故事的过程,是师幼共同参与、合作完成的过程。幼师生学习幼儿文学其中的幼儿图画故事,也必然要学习如何讲读图画故事,理解讲读图画故事的原则,掌握“创编”讲读的基本方法和技巧,这是学习运用图书故事的基本能力。
