This article only explores the topic of the science of college English teaching. We first clarify the concept of science in college English teaching and point out the necessary and relevant strategies to improve science in college English teaching. What needs to be pointed out is that the scientificity we refer to here is not completely scientific. Obviously, the humanistic nature of English language teaching makes it very difficult for us to rely on some of the scientific laws that have been achieved through induction or deduction to generalize the essence of all language teaching.
