One night on the autumn of 1955, a group of dismissed anti-academic American poets known as the “Beat Literati” held a poetry reading in the sixth studio in San Francisco, California. At this recital, which later included the history of poetry, Alan Ginsburg (1926-1997) of the Year 30 “poured” him with the powerful language of his surging and stormy sound New work “howl”.
