Jack London’s idiosyncratic naturalistic writing portrays ordinary people’s living conditions in search of ways and means to solve the social crisis. In the novels Golden Valley and Moon Valley, he gradually moved from anthropocentrism to ecocentrism, believing that man and nature are a harmonious and mutually compensating relationship. He took the initiative to assume the responsibility of ecological protection and gradually completed the transition from “self ” to “ecological self ”. It is of great significance to conscientiously interpret the natural literary works of Jack London and dig out the true connotation and essence of its ecological thought in order to deepen people’s understanding of the relationship between man and nature and the true value of nature.
