In a joint June 2 announcement, IBM Corp. and Motorola’s RISC microprocessor division established the world’s first P0werPC technology center in Taipei. Taipei is one of several technology centers scheduled to open in 1994 to meet the two companies’ goal of “increasing global demand in support of the P0werPC product.” This announcement coincides with the opening of Computer’94 (Asia’s largest computer show)
