Germany embarks on the development of the European navigation satellite system German Aerospace Corporation (DASA) and the German Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics have embarked on the development of major components of the future European navigation satellite system. The European navigation satellite system is now a major DASA research project. In the next two to three years, the two units plan to invest USD40 million to develop the system, including the development of detectable satellites.
