乡镇企业统计工作是指对乡镇企业经济进行统计调查,提供统计资料和统计分析,发挥信息、咨询和监督整体功能的一项工作。近年来,随着决策的科学化和民主化,统计工作越来越受到各级领导的重视,乡镇企业统计一方面满足了各级党委、政府和有关部门宏观决策的需要,同时满足了社会公众的需要,对企业的经营、政府的宏观调控都具有非常重要的意义。
