The MGD68NE is a data protection LSI that uses a silicon chip to implement the standard cryptographic algorithms recently adopted by the National Bureau of Standards (NBS). Texas Instruments and Western Digital Equipment are also producing such wafers. MGD68NE has the following two features. The first is the speed of work, the maximum digital rate up to 400K bits per second. The second point is to have a secondary key (secondary key), in order to achieve a higher encryption and decryption level. According to the National Bureau of Standards algorithm, a 64-bit data set is encrypted using a 56-bit valid key (master key or subkey). The same key is used by the party receiving the data to decrypt the encrypted data.
