西南运输总处(军事委员会西南进出口物资运输总经理处),是抗日战争前期国民政府军事当局为了加强战时军事物资运输而设立的军运机构。 这篇材料是陶子厚(西南运输总处人事科科员,后为交通部公路总局视察)于1943年2月将其“平日搜集许多资料择要而成”的原稿,它记述了该机构自1937年10月成立至1941年10月改组时止的整个活动过程,对我们今天研究抗战史,特别是研究西南战时运输史有一定参考价值，作者作为当事人之一，材料以是在事隔仅一年多时间内写成，因此较之一般回忆录更具晚料价值。现特刊布如后，以供参考。
