The mouse SR-1 cells were irradiated with low-dose γ-irradiation in advance, and then the effects of subsequent high-dose γ-irradiation-induced cell hprt gene mutations were observed. A small dose of 0.01 Gy pre-irradiation can significantly reduce the frequency of hprt mutation in SR-1 cells induced by 3 Gy irradiation after 18 h and 24 h. The cells received 0.01 Gy irradiation once a day for 10 days. After a cumulative dose of 0.1 Gy, the above effects could be produced within 6 hours, and the frequency of hprt gene mutations could be reduced by 30% to 40% for 48 hours after sustained stimulation with low doses.
