依据断层的作用形式将正反转构造分为单一型和复合型两大类。因受力方式的不同,单一型正反转构造可细分为挤压倾滑型、压扭型和走滑诱导型3亚类7小类;复合型正反转构造可细分为挤压倾滑复合型和压扭复合型2亚类8小类。论述了各类正反转构造的形成机制、平面和剖面的识别标志,并对每类正反转构造的特征进行了实例说明。分析认为,绝大多数正反转构造产生于张性盆地演化的反转期,即应力场转变为压应力场的时期。
