In modern electronics, the computer revolution is one of the most dramatic power. It started with a strong influence on weapon systems. In fact, the first electronic computer, ENIAC, was developed to support military purposes. Its command and control system was very fast. Digital computers were used for terrestrial and airborne radars and strategic missiles. Tactical missile designers seem to be the last one to realize the benefits of a nested computer for performing or controlling functions such as guidance or autopilots.
