平炉炉顶中应用力法所确定的应力计算,可以大大的增加炉顶的坚固性。当在平炉炉顶中的内力是合理的分布时,这毫无疑问是能够提高炉顶的坚固性;但是这一问题并未引起专家们的重视。在一些书中作者们所谈及炉顶的力学,仅局限于按裘爱靱 会述载过的公式,此公式是为了决定炉顶的水平横推力。在裘爱靱的这一公式中以及一些其他方面计算中含有错误,业已由加特洛夫洛依科特鲁别兹科夫指出。我们应用工程力学的表示(图1),给出已知公式的正常形式:
