2009年是国际红十字红新月运动和红十字国际委员会历史上极其重要的一年:它标志着红十字理念诞生150周年和由世界各国一致通过的1949年《日内瓦四公约》订立60周年。在周年纪念之际,运动启动了一项活动——“共同的世界,你我的行动”——来提醒每个人所肩负的减少人类苦难的责任。红十字国际委员会和来自于Ⅶ图片社的五位获奖战地摄影师——詹姆斯·纳赫特韦(James Nachtwey)、佛朗哥·帕杰蒂(Frarco Pagetti)、安东宁·克拉托赫维尔(AntoninKratochvil)、罗恩·哈维夫(Ron Haviv)和克里斯托弗·莫里斯(Christopher Morris)——携手在该次展览中将有关战争带给人们损失与痛苦的故事呈现给世人,以期引起全世界对他们的关注:遭受过性暴力摧残正挣扎着恢复创伤的妇女,流离失所的家庭以及帮派冲突的受害者。
2009 is an extremely important year in the history of the International Red Cross Red Crescent Movement and the International Committee of the Red Cross: it marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Red Cross concept and the 60th anniversary of the 1949 Geneva Conventions of 1949, which was unanimously adopted by all the nations of the world. At the anniversary, the campaign kicked off an activity called “The Common World, You and Me” - to remind everyone of their responsibility to reduce human suffering. The ICRC and five award-winning field photographers from the Ⅶ photo agency - James Nachtwey, Frarco Pagetti, Antonin Krathethev Antonin Kratochvil, Ron Haviv and Christopher Morris - hand in hand the story of the loss and suffering that the war has brought to the world in this exhibition with a view to arousing the world Concerns for them: women who have suffered sexual violence and are struggling to recover from trauma, displaced families and victims of gang conflict.
