The product distribution of the catalytic chlorination was studied and the effect of the relevant conditions on the product distribution was tested. The results showed that the degree of chlorination was the main factor affecting the product distribution. The increase of temperature was in favor of the formation of trichloride and benzylidene dichloride. Iron ion, low temperature and water led to chlorination on the ring. occur
