变叶木(别名洒金榕)为比较名贵的盆栽观叶植物。它种类较多,叶子多姿多彩,倍受人们的青睐,但把它制作为盆景却是少见。我于一九七九年开始尝试作变叶木盆景,经过几年的探索,已初步制成《蛟龙出洞》(见附图)等几盆,当然,作品尚不成熟。变叶木盆景别具风姿雅趣,裁培容易,管理粗放。它喜肥又耐瘦瘠,只要给足水分就能生长,且根部可终年为水淹浸,故又可无土水养。它喜阳又耐半阴。 Change leaves (alias sprinkle gold Ficus) for the more expensive potted foliage plants. It is more variety, colorful leaves, much of people of all ages, but making it as a bonsai is rare.
