Some of the oxidation-reduction equations have multiple balanced forms, such as the reaction of KClO 3 with HCl, and the decomposition of HClO 3 . Some people apply the undetermined coefficient method to balance this reaction equation. This is a mathematical method. Although correct results can be obtained, it does not answer the chemical reasons for multiple solutions. I believe that in chemistry teaching, such questions should not only be satisfied with obtaining the correct answer, but should guide students in understanding the chemical nature of the problem in the process of answering, so that students can be subject to a problem analysis and problem solving exercise.
