Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery in gastric cancer complicated with diabetes mellitus. Methods: The study object was selected from 134 cases of gastric cancer with diabetes undergoing laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery in our hospital from December 2011 to February 2014. The patients were equally divided into two groups. The control group was treated with conventional laparotomy. Laparoscopic minimally invasive surgical treatment of the observation group, compared the two different effects of surgery. Results: The amount of surgical bleeding in the control group was more than that in the observation group. The incision length and the operation time were all better than those in the observation group. The observation group had better operation conditions than the control group. The length of hospital stay, postoperative eating time and postoperative intestinal excretion time in the control group were all better than those in the observation group. Postoperative recovery in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group. The control group, the effective rate was 82.1%, the observation group, the effective rate was 98.5%. Observation group of treatment was significantly better than the control group. The incidence of complications in the control group was 11.9% and the incidence of complications in the observation group was 1.5%. The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly less than that in the control group. Conclusion: The effect of laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery in gastric cancer with diabetes mellitus is obvious, with fewer complications and quick recovery after operation, which is worthy of popularization.
