二十八星瓢虫是我县洋芋的主要害虫,发生面积大、为害重,全县每年17～18万亩洋芋均有不同程度的受害,一般年份减产1000万公斤以上。此外,二十八星瓢虫还为害烟叶、玉米、黄豆、水稻、茄子、辣椒、番茄等多种作物。由于该虫发生时间长(从3月下旬至10月下旬),加上我县垂直和平面气候差异大,成虫、幼虫发生期不一,5月份雨水偏多等原因,给喷药防治带来很大困难,使防治效果不佳。我们经多年试验研究证明,以内吸性农药深施防治洋芋二十八星瓢虫的效果很好。1989年我们在尖山区双河乡和唐岩寺镇进行了洋芋农药深施千亩示范。现将示范情况简结如后。
