棉花是一种分枝作物。果枝数目的多少,直接关系到单株结铃数,是构成产量的重要因素之一。因此,通过深入研究以准确认识棉花分枝的生物学习性,在理论上和生产实践上都是很有意义的。关于棉花的分枝,国内大部分学者历来认为棉花主茎上每片叶子的基部都有两个幼芽。在叶柄和主茎腋处的一个叫做腋芽(也叫正芽),在腋芽左侧或右侧的另一个芽叫付芽(也叫侧芽)。正芽长成的是叶枝(木枝、营养枝),付芽长成是果枝。通常陆地棉最下面1~2片真叶叶腋间的正芽与侧芽都潜伏,不发育出来;而第3~4片真叶的叶腋间。侧芽潜伏,正芽发育成叶枝;第5~6片以上则侧芽发育成果枝,而正芽潜伏。在水肥充足情况下,主茎中上部也有正芽及侧芽同时并发的现象。所以叶枝一般发生在棉株下部数节,而果枝则发生在棉株中
Cotton is a branched crop. The number of fruiting branches, is directly related to the number of bolls per plant, is an important factor in yield. Therefore, through in-depth study to accurately understand the biological behavior of cotton branching, both in theory and practice are of great significance. Regarding the branching of cotton, most domestic scholars have always believed that there are two sprouts on the base of each leaf on the cotton main stem. Therefore, the branches usually occur in the lower part of the cotton plant, and fruiting branches occur in the cotton plant
