模拟磁记录方式在音频领域的应用,经历了近半个世纪的发展,从单声道录音、双声道立体录音,到复杂的多声道合成录音等,音响制作技术发生了深刻的变化。但同时磁记录方式在录制系统中的瓶颈效应亦显得非常突出,如磁记录方式记录的制品动态小、信噪比差等,尽管在技术上也采用了降噪、压缩等手段,使音质得到很大的改善,却未能取得突破性进展。
