用~(137)Cs γ射线照射高秆长粒型水稻品种 Labelle(LBLE,美国南部种植面积最大的品种之一),从其杂种二代中发现一矮秆突变株。稳定后暂将它定名为 Short Labelle (SLBL)。该突变体比原品种平均矮23cm。将 SLBL/LBLE 和 SLBL/LBNT(美国南部一种高秆长粒型品种 Lebonnet)组合的 F_1和 F_2代以30×30cm 移栽。根据后代的株高分离鉴定SLBL 矮秆性状遗传机制,并对 SLBL 和 LBLE 进行农艺性状和产量的比较鉴定。
Irradiation of Labelle (LBLE, one of the largest cultivated area in the southern United States) with ~ (137) Cs γ-ray revealed a dwarf mutant from the second generation of hybrid rice. Temporarily set it as Short Labelle (SLBL) after stabilization. The mutant average shorter than the original breed 23cm. F_1 and F_2 generations of a combination of SLBL / LBLE and SLBL / LBNT (Lebonnet, a tall, southern American variety) were transplanted at 30 × 30 cm. The genetic mechanism of SLBL dwarf traits was identified according to the segregation of plant height in the offspring, and the agronomic characters and yield of SLBL and LBLE were compared and identified.
