Through the systematic analysis of the costs related to the maintenance of forest road network, a decision-making model of reasonable maintenance years has been established. The application analysis of the model shows that the reasonable maintenance period of the forest network is related to the construction cost of the forest road and the type of forest under management, but not to the density of the forest road network. The reasonable maintenance period is at least 4a
