矿物学作为一门应用科学是根据人类在利用矿物原料过程中的实际需要而产生的。有益矿物工艺学的研究就是它的主要的实际应用范围之一。天然矿物种类繁多,其化学组成及物理、化学特性千差万别,甚至一种矿物的组成和性质有时也不太一样,并且往往与理论计算的比值和参数有些偏差。当然这是由于它们的结晶化学、晶体构造、构造缺陷、类质同象等方面的原因所造成的。这给综合利用矿物资源、选择合理的工艺流程带来了很大困难。因此,研究矿物的结晶化学、晶体构造、构造缺陷及与其有关的表面性质,对于提高有用矿物的综合利用系数具有重要的实际意义。
Mineralogy as an applied science is based on the actual needs of human beings in the use of mineral raw materials. Beneficial mineral technology research is one of its main areas of practical application. There are many kinds of natural minerals, their chemical compositions and their physical and chemical properties vary greatly. Even the composition and properties of a mineral sometimes are not the same, and often deviate from the theoretical calculation of the ratio and parameters. Of course, this is due to their crystallization chemistry, crystal structure, structural defects, and the like. This brings great difficulties to the comprehensive utilization of mineral resources and the selection of a reasonable technological process. Therefore, studying the crystallization chemistry, crystal structure, structural defects and the related surface properties of minerals has important practical significance for improving the comprehensive utilization coefficient of useful minerals.
