迷你笔记本过去两年在中国呈井喷趋势,而且未来几年内规模也会不断扩大,到2010年可达5600万部。2008年第四季度的笔记本市场上,就屏幕尺寸而言10-13寸部分占据了60%左右,面对这个巨大的市场消费群体,Intel推出的Atom平台虽然占据了先机,但是不足迅驰平台1/3的性能,以及10.2英寸的限制,却成为了它最大的羁绊。目前,消费者在选择超便携式笔记本电脑时总要面临一定的取舍,要么购买高价格的超便携笔记本,享受全面的PC体验;要么购买低价格的迷你笔记本,忍受较慢的处理速度及小屏幕。AMD看准这个空档,适时推出了性能更强的Yukon上网平台,为用户在传统主流笔记本与迷你上网本之间提供另一种选择。
