鹿蹄草素系我院中草药小组从鹿蹄草中分离提取或人工合成的药物,有效单体为甲基氢醌,有广谱抑菌作用。初步药敏试验证明对固紫染色阳性及阴性细菌均有抑菌作用。动物实验证明毒性低,LD为0.227±0.037克/公斤。1975～1977年我们用鹿蹄草素治疗婴幼儿泄泻(36例)及急性菌痢(小儿16例、成人30例),疗效满意,无不良反应。治疗对象:36例婴幼儿泄泻组均为住院病例,其中水样便每天10次以上者20例,伴发热者20例,伴Ⅰ～Ⅱ度脱水者16例,大便镜检找到脂肪球和少量红白细胞者17
