骨组织的正常生长和发育需要摄入适量的钙,这在20岁以下的青少年和儿童特别重要。因此,为使成人的骨量达最高限,在不同年龄阶段就存在最佳钙摄入量。胎儿期钙沉积依赖母体钙营养状况,孕妇的最佳钙摄入量是1200mg/d;0~12个月婴儿的最佳钙摄入量为400~600mg/d,2~10岁的儿童为800mg/d;11~24岁的青少年为1200~1500mg/d;25~45岁成人钙摄入量为800~1000mg/d;绝经期妇女为1000~1500mg/d;65岁以上老人以1500mg/d为最佳;哺乳期妇女的钙摄入量为1200mg/d。
