Objective: To understand the blood lead levels of neonatal cord blood and their effects on hearing in Changchun City. Methods: 690 neonatal umbilical blood samples were tested for blood lead level with Z / 3030 graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometer under strict quality control. OAE was performed 2 to 3 days after birth Evaluate whether the nerve is damaged. Results: The blood lead levels of 690 newborn infants were normal distribution with the range of 6 ~ 78μg / L, with a mean of 33.32μg / L and a standard deviation of 18.078μg / L. There were 72 cases of blood lead≥60μg / L in relative high lead group, 618 cases of blood lead <60μg / L in low lead group, and there was significant difference in positive rate of OAE2 ~ 3 days between two groups (P <0.05) . Conclusion: The level of blood lead in neonatal umbilical blood of Changchun City was (33.32 ± 18.078) μg / L, but the level of low blood lead still could cause the injury of auditory nerve.
