Since the discovery of the infrared by Herschel in 1800, components and technologies of infrared spectroscopy have been greatly developed over a hundred years. In early 1900, people started to experiment with these technologies. By 1930, infrared spectroscopy emerged as a major analytical tool. The first nonspectroscopy can be used as a system, probably the infrared communication and the night vision system used in World War II. Spurred initially on military applications, many infrared systems were effectively applied from the Earth’s surface to the space after space-subsidized. Over the past decade, this technology has increasingly been applied to industry, medicine and science and technology to solve various problems. In 1970, the investment in the infrared system was estimated at over 300 million U.S. dollars.
