Immune cells can be due to mutations in some of its own nuclei with an immune response, the resulting antibodies, known as antinuclear antibodies (ANA). ANA positive in the serum of many patients with connective tissue disease. Therefore, it is relatively common that indirect immunofluorescence ANA assay (FANA) can be classified as a major screening test for the diagnosis of connective tissue disease. However, in normal people, the chances of ANA increase with age. In the elderly, the detection rate of serum is up to 3%, but the titer is lower. In addition, some scholars recently found that some tumors or tuberculosis in patients with serum, but also high titers of ANA. Therefore, FANA positive is not necessarily all connective tissue disease.
